I knew Shirley & Lee’s wedding at the Shuffleboard Courts in St. Petersburg, FL was going to be incredible. Not only because it is a fun venue, but it screamed what they were all about. And if their friends & family are anything like them, I knew it was going to be a wedding to remember.
I’ve sort of known Shirley & Lee, aka ShirLee, for a few years now, from back in my Florida days. I became facebook friends with her after I photographed her friend’s engagement session. I have zero clue why we never hung out, because she is totally someone I could be best friends with. Shirley & Lee are absolutely hilarious, always having fun, spending their lives constantly laughing together. What more could anybody ask for, right? Just pure joy. I couldn’t be happier for these guys, unashamed & proud of their crazy, beautiful love for each other.
It was such an honor to travel back to Florida to photograph this wedding for my friends. Now if only I can convince them to move to Upstate South Carolina, so we can finally be real friends like we should have been years ago!
