Jodi & Kenny- Maternity

A lot of my friends from back in my hometown Alexandria, Louisiana may recognize this gorgeous couple!  I went to high school with Kenny.  He was the class clown type.. not much has changed!!  When I started my photography business a few years ago, a cute, bubbly girl, who I found out to be Kenny’s new wife, asked to be my friend on facebook.  We IMMEDIATELY started talking about photography, and that progressed to life in general.  I’m serious when I say we talked nonstop all day while I edited.  Even though I’ve never met her, I considered her to be one of my very best friends.  They moved to Pooler, GA where Kenny goes to school at SCAD, studying the art of making action figures.  Really, really cool, btw.
I was SO excited to hear that my friends were expecting their first baby!  A GIRL.  And if you know Jodi, you know how perfect that is.  And if you know Jodi and Kenny’s mom, you know this baby is SPOILED!  (But only in the most glamorous, loving way possible.)
When we were talking about me possibly shooting her maternity session, we were brainstorming on what exactly she wanted as far as style goes.  Since I don’t do maternity, I wanted to be sure that our styles are the same.  I’m not one for cliche maternity pictures (sorry).  She stole my heart when she said she wanted a shoot that resembles an engagement session, but with a baby bump.  I absolutely couldn’t wait to travel up to GA to shoot their maternity session, and FINALLY got to meet Jodi.  We had a blast!  And the shoot was everything I imagined it would be.  Jodi has the most perfect pregnancy body EVER!  Big, round baby bump and small everything else… not to mention she’s freaking gooorgeous!!  I began to say she looked like a certain celebrity, but I couldn’t remember her name, and even before I finished, Kenny said “Brooke Burke”.  Bingo.  Nail on the head.
Everything about the two of them is perfection.  Now baby Kennedy is only going to add to it, with their pack of 5 Chihuahuas, and be the cutest family ever.
