Brasstown Falls | Shannon + Simon |

This session was STEAMY, and I’m not talking about the weather.  I was so excited and honored to photograph Shannon & Simon’s engagement session at Brasstown Falls.  They drove all the way down from Virginia for me to photograph them at this particular waterfall.  My husband and I had to cross a really high creek, because I’m too chicken to balance across some logs, but I was so happy that it all worked out in the end because they were on FIRE!  Like, I would do this shoot a million times over and nothing would change because everything was perfection.  They swore they were awkward in front of the camera, but as I began shooting I realized that they were absolute complete naturals.  I would give them direction and it would mess up how natural and perfect they were.  So I took a step back and just let them do what they do, just love on each other.  I honestly think they were so wrapped up in each other, that they forgot I was there throughout the shoot.  I didn’t want to interrupt them, so I let them keep doing their thing, and after a while they would look up and say OH SORRY!  And I’m like, no seriously, keep doing what yall are doing because it is working!!

I loved working with them so much, not only because they were super easy to photograph, but they were genuinely really beautiful people on the inside as well.  They love to travel, and they are super into fitness.  You really do have to visit their Instagram page.  Makes me want to just travel with them everywhere they go, and be their personal photographer.

I wish them all the luck in the world as they plan for their destination wedding overseas.  With all of this covid madness, wedding planning for everyone has been way more stressful now than ever, especially those who are trying to travel.  Hopefully the country & the world can work together & kick Covid’s butt once in for all.  And here is your friendly reminder to be careful out there.  Wear your masks, sanitize and social distance!  Show compassion to your community, and to those who have a higher risk of not recovering from the virus, and do what you can to keep from spreading it.  The more we use caution, the faster this will be over & we can get back to normal life & weddings can go on as planned!   Anyway, that’s my little PSA.

Now back to the hotness….
