My sister Katie is pregnant with the first baby of the family. When she told me, I immediately started crying (shocker) and started yelling “Are you serious??? You better not be joking!!”. Yes, I cry over everything, but this was a very good reason. Very, very happy tears. I’m going to be an AUNTIE!! Katie pretty much knew she was going to have a girl right away, and right away thought of the name Ruby. Sweet name, right?? Her middle name, Jean, is special because it’s both her husband’s mother’s name and our grandmother’s name.
My other sister, Angelle, is an amazing party planner. She should totally do this full time. She puts so much love and attention into every detail, not to mention every minute of her spare time. She threw Katie’s bridal shower too, and it was amazing! Taking pictures of everyone having a good time is the easy part. Planning and putting it all together is crazy intense, and everyone is so grateful for her and her hard work!
Ruby will be born in a week, give or take a few days. We are all crazed with excitement and anticipation. The first grandkid, daughter, niece. She’s already so spoiled, and I can’t wait to shower her with kisses and cuddles.

Well, you know… every mother needs to have THE WOODEN SPOON! What child has never been threatened by the wooden spoon, even if it was always empty threats. 
Yes, even I managed to get in a few pictures…. reluctantly. But for my aunts, anything! 
I have the world’s best two sisters anyone could ask for. Funny, smart, caring… ALWAYS good for a laugh.
