Sweetest Same Sex Wedding – A+J

These two..  where do I even start?  My heart is filled to the top for these two.  They’ve been together for 10 years and they still are super sweet and loving and adorable towards each other.  If you were to just meet them, you would think they just started dating because that’s totally what it feels like to watch them together.  Like the butterflies, the jitters, all the fun stuff you experience when you first find someone you love.  I love watching them interact with each other.  It’s the sweetest.
And it was such an honor to be there to photograph them getting married at the courthouse on their 10th dating anniversary.  I get all the feels from every single wedding I’m at.  But there was something about this wedding..  Maybe it was the lack of fluff.  What lacked in wedding fluff, it made up for with emotion.. ten fold.  They just wanted to be married.

I started the morning in their darling St. Pete apartment, photographing them getting ready together.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when they were reading their daily devotional together, and they got choked up on the first sentence.   Gift time!  J gave A a sweet mug that read “Mrs.” across it, keeping a matching one for herself.  (better pictures of that coming up) A gave J a message in a tiny bottle, officially asking her to be her wife since they never had an official engagement.
Then she gave J a special box that she made and painted with their initials and their wedding date.  I mean, come on!…. and then friendship bracelets!! A quick stop into Paper Street Market! A’s mom was there to celebrate the amazing day.  She was so happy and proud!She told J that she’s her daughter now too, and I’m pretty sure I cried. Congratulations, girls!!  I love you both to death and couldn’t be happier for you two!!!
