Wyche Pavilion Wedding | Julia + Stephen |

Falls Park Wedding

This wedding at the Wyche Pavilion in Downtown Greenville is crazy good!! I’m so excited to share this wedding with you.
Also, I just love it when I become friends with my clients. As soon as I met Julia & Stephen for some beers & to talk about their wedding, I knew we’d become such great friends. And being that Julia is 1/4 Lebanese, as am I, we already had a lot to talk about. (Mainly food.) And the fact that she reminds me of my childhood idol, Ariel, I knew I had to be friends with her. And Stephen has THE SWEETEST smile & all around sweetest personality on the planet. He’s the kind of guy who you can never ever imagine getting mad. This was a match made in heaven. Of course I’m speaking about them, but also me working with them, if I’m being completely honest, haha!! I loved them from the get-go.
So they started sharing with me their vision for their wedding, and at this point I’m all in. It sounded beautiful & romantic. Then she told me that there was going to be a big gap in between the ceremony & reception, because they really wanted to focus on getting a lot of photos and have the whole day just be relaxed! Let me just tell you, I’m going to start suggesting all my couples do this, if possible. We were there for 11 hours, and it went so smoothly! Not rushed in the least, and we had time to do everything we wanted to do, and more. It was the perfect day. Just you wait until you can see the photos, and what can be done when you have time for photos! We had plenty of time to walk to the park, take our time there, take an abundance of photos of the reception space & did a little mini shoot with them in that space, and they STILL had time to join their cocktail hour. P-E-R-F-E-C-T And not only were their details amazing, but their personal touches on the day made everything better. Stephen even brewed his own beer and shared it with everyone for the toasts. How impressive!

So let me tell you a little bit about Julia & Stephen’s love story. Stephen is from right here in Greenville, SC. Julia is from New York. Julia was down here for the summer to visit her parents who moved here. One day she decided to go to Starbucks to study, being the good dentistry student she was. And that’s where she met Stephen. I asked her if Stephen had any cheesy pickup lines, and she said no. Which makes total sense, because that’s so not Stephen. They talked about studying & school, and decided to exchange numbers. She didn’t think much of it, but decided to text him while she was still in town because she didn’t know anybody, and she wanted to hang out! So they hung out together quite a lot that summer! “Summer lovin’, had me a blaaaast”.. sorry, that’s the musical nerd in me. So the summer came to an end & Julia went back up north, but they still stayed in touch, and got together every time she came down to visit. And as soon as she graduated, she moved her butt down here to be with him & get married. Now they just built a new home for themselves & starting this crazy adventure together. I’m so happy for my new friends! Congratulations Julia & Stephen!!
