One of the many reasons why I love the weddings that I photograph is because the couples are so down to earth. They have their friends and family there, little bits of their personalities are thoughtfully put into details, and everything just comes together perfectly. I loved working with the bride for this wedding, Lyndsay, because she was so excited and kept cracking jokes the whole time, hanging out with her bridesmaids and parents. Her and her groom, Jonathan made plans for their sweet greyhound Secret to be there for their big day. I knew Secret is a huge part of their lives. He was at our consultation when I first met them, and I couldn’t stop petting him! Such a sweet guy, and so soft! Just a few days before the wedding, Lyndsay noticed a tumor in Secret’s leg and had to take immediate action to amputate. Thankfully, his life was saved and he was even still able to be at the hotel for the earlier part of the wedding day. I knew it meant the world to Lyndsay and Jonathan to include their sweet baby in their day, and it touched me to see it. He even made an appearance on the cake (or should I say, under).
It was such a perfect day for a beach wedding. Wasn’t hot at all, and the overcast sky made the picture taking more than ideal. And the sunset.. oh just you wait till you get there. Everything was so beautiful!
