When Melinda first contacted me, she told me that they were having the ceremony & reception held on different days.. well, more like different months. Justin was being deployed, and they wanted to be married before he left & wanted to celebrate when he came back. I was so excited to meet them, that is until I saw my schedule and realized that I was already booked on the date of their ceremony. But they wanted to stick with me anyway! I was elated!! I loved this couple. I love what they stand for, both together and individually. Justin is serving as an Army Ranger, and is in the same unit Melinda’s dad did before he died serving our country. They met at a special function, where she was giving a speech. And the rest is beautiful history.
So even though I couldn’t photograph their ceremony, I was so honored to be there to shoot their engagement session & their reception.
