I was very much looking forward to Larisa & Nick’s wedding. I loved working with them at their engagement shoot. Not only are they completely gorgeous, but the sweetest people.. and good Lord, do they love each other! Then the unthinkable happened. Not that I want to take over their wedding blog with my personal life, but the day that my father’s funeral happened to be on was the one day I was trying my hardest to avoid. Somethings are just out of your hands, and you can’t do anything about it. So I had to miss Larisa & Nick’s wedding. I’ve NEVER missed a wedding, and couldn’t imagine doing so without it being a situation like this. Thank goodness I have a great, tight-knit group of fabulous female photographers in the area. So blessed that I’m in this community where people aren’t cutthroat but so willing to help each other. I feel like I owe my life to Raquel (Raquelsergiophotography.com) and Brandi (Brandiimagestudio.com). They SAVED ME. I can’t stress this enough. It was so hard to let go of control, but once I did, I felt like I didn’t have to worry, and I could spend this time with family & saying goodbye to my dad.
It looks like they had such a great time at the wedding. I know this couple and I know some of their friends, and they are some fun party people! From the pictures, I can tell the dance floor was always packed & everyone was having the best time.
Special thanks to Raquel & Brandi for saving me. And of course a special thanks to Larisa & Nick for being so understanding, cooperative, supportive & patient. I am so sorry I wasn’t there!! But I’m so happy everything went smoothly and you had a fabulous wedding!
