I feel like I am made for the mountains and cold weather. I wanted to stay and enjoy it forever. Of course, Tennessee has summers, too. But they also get SNOW!
I was so excited to spend a week in a cabin in the mountains with my in-laws. We had a nice giant place with plenty of comfy sofas, a pool table and even karaoke. We had soooo much fun. The first day we arrived, there was a giant snow storm on the way, so we knew we were going to be trapped for a few days. I couldn’t wait. I was so excited to relax and soak up the amazing views, the soft snow, and the excitement on my nephew’s faces.
I loved photographing the snowball war. Everybody had so much fun, and I loved watching them. Of course, since I had the camera, I warned the boys not to throw snowballs at me. But that didn’t stop Aidan from putting snow down my boots. Love that booger-head.
This is the difference between when we first got to the cabin and the next morning.
Aidan looooved to eat snow. He called them “snowburgers”. So what are the chances that Bryan and I run into one of my former bride & grooms? Not only did we run into them downtown, but also randomly ran into them in the middle of nowhere while site seeing! I had my camera with me, so I had to take a picture. Happy Anniversary Kelsey & Cameron!!
One of the volunteers at the park asked us if we wanted our picture together. I get nervous when others hold my camera, so I tried to turn him down, but he assured me that he has a DSLR, and he knows how to work it, so I gave in. He then led us to a really dark spot, and we took the picture, the whole time I just knew the pictures were going to be completely black. And they were, bless his heart. He tried. But thank goodness for post-processing, I was able to kind of save it. It’s not the best picture, technically speaking, but it’s of the two of us, so I love it.
Hey, I made that scarf. That’s right.
