Stevie & Tim had a beauuuutiful, small ceremony in Belize a few months ago. So sad that I didn’t go, but I’m so happy they hired someone who took INCREDIBLE pictures for them there. Not only was the surroundings just amazing, but the couple themselves were gorgeous & so happy! But of course they were! They are just naturally gorgeous and they just got married!! I couldn’t wait for them to come home and have their reception with their family & friends.
Nova 535, located in downtown St. Petersburg, is one of my very favorite venues in the area. I love the old brick in there! And the space is huge with gorgeous tall ceilings. Perfect for any reception or event! When I was talking to Stevie about her reception, she mentioned just doing everything low key. I totally get that. No fuss, hang out with your guests, have fun. But then she said she wasn’t even planning on having the first dance or parent dances! Now, in my opinion, you just have to. If you don’t you’ll probably regret it later! I’ve mentioned before how much I cherish when I danced with my dad. I’d have to say it has to be one of my very favorite memories of my life. He passed away a year and a half ago, and I never would have forgiven myself if I didn’t dance with him when I had the chance. LUCKILY, that changed her mind. :) So happy that I could do that. And she ended up with beautiful pictures of her & Tim dancing in their first dance, as well as sweet pictures of both of them dancing with their parents. She was worried that it would be awkward, but I say to the hell with awkward. If you’re close with your mom/dad, you would want those memories.
So happy I was there for such a beautiful occasion. Their reception was not only beautiful, but fun and filled with people who just bursted with joy for the happy newlyweds!
Can’t wait to shoot their Rock the Dress session soon!! We’re going to have so much fun!
