Alexa & Omar – Rock the Dress

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Puerto Rico for a wedding with my bff & second shooter, Bara Miller.  We’ve been gearing up and getting SO excited for months and months before.  It seemed like it was never going to come!  And then finally it happened, and we had THE best time in the world.  The wedding was incredible, the couple was incredible, I could go on and on about that, but I’ll save that for their wedding blog.  I decided to do their Rock The Dress session before their wedding because I knew it wouldn’t take me any time at all to edit that session, and I just couldn’t wait.  Plus, I wanted the B&G, their families and friends to be able to enjoy those pictures while I edit their fantastic wedding.

SO this faaabulous Rock the Dress session was an absolute dream come true.  I dreamed about this for months leading up to it.  Alexa brought up us doing the session here at the lighthouse, because this is where Omar proposed, which of course made this decision ever so much easier to make.  Cabo Rojo Los Morillos Lighthouse was definitely the place for this Rock The Dress session.

Bara and I only got a few hours of sleep after the wedding, before we drove to Cabo Rojo, but we can’t complain because I’m pretty sure Alexa & Omar didn’t sleep at all.  They haven’t slept in DAYS because there was so much going on.  So you tell me, how is it possible that they look as gorgeous as they do in this shoot?  Seriously, that is her hair and makeup from the day before.  Just, wow.  Alexa rocks.  They both do.

We trekked uphill to get to the lighthouse, and when we finally arrived, it was quite overwhelming what was before me.  I walked over to the edge of the cliff, and I saw a wild iguana!!  I completely lost my cool and completely freaked out.  Snapping pictures of it like it was going to vanish before my eyes.  Alexa looked at me like I had lost my mind, and said “yeah, they’re like squirrels here.”  I looked around and sure enough, they were EVERYWHERE!  So crazy.  So very awesome.

So then began the coolest shoot we have done to date.  Perfection.  Everything about it.
