Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary. Sometimes it seems much, much longer. I could have sworn our 10 year vow renewal was right around the corner. We have 3 more years! I already have every detail planned, as you can imagine. Just me, Bryan, a gorgeous dress, my favorite photographer & videographer and the mountains. I.CANT.WAIT.
We started doing traditional gifts for our anniversary a few years ago. I love the opportunity to be creative and do something special. So for 7 years, the gift options are copper or wool.. Or desk sets, which I think is hilarious. “Happy anniversary, here’s a stapler.” Maybe some would think our gifts that we got were just as weird because it seems a bit random.
So Bryan and I are super into craft beer and coffee. We have so many darn mugs, we don’t have room for them all. BUT, what’s one more? So I got him a copper mug on Etsy. And I think it looks pretty sweet.
Bryan was kinda stressing out what to buy me. Or so he pretended anyway, because he got me something that was so special and PERFECT for me. I’m really into knitting (still a newb, but loving learning). He went to the local yarn shop downtown (Stash). And I am seriously in love with this yarn. Can’t wait to make a special anniversary scarf. I think I’m going to try cabling now.
I’m really loving this tradition. Next year is pottery or bronze… Hmmm.. Maybe I’ll do a one of those bronze busts. :)
