Kelly and Jason are such an amazing couple. When a couple puts God first in everything, it brings so much extra to a wedding day. And I adore the story of when they first met. Kelly, who does music therapy at All Children’s Hospital, was looking for a drummer for a project, and was introduced to Jason. They met up for coffee and that’s when a homeless man walked up. Being the Godly servants they are, they both instinctively wondered how the other person would handle the situation. But little did Kelly know, Jason already had a relationship with the homeless man, and they both invited him to sit with them. Kelly was of course won over by Jason’s kindness, having already known and cared for this man. And Jason was won over by Kelly’s kindness towards him as well. What a great way to start to get to know someone!
I met Jason when Bryan and I started going to Aletheia Church in St. Pete (Florida). We didn’t really know anybody, but Jason was always so warm and welcoming, and greeted us every time we came in. His friendly smile helped the awkwardness of not knowing anybody. Working with Jason & Kelly at their engagement session and now their wedding has been a blast. They’re such a down to earth couple, and they adore each other so much. You just want to hug them because they are so darn cute.
They got married on probably the coldest & windiest day Florida has seen in a long time. Me, being the cold loving freak I am, couldn’t get enough of it. The wind made for some pretty cool pictures, too.
Their reception was at one of my favorite venues in FL, the Shuffleboard Courts in downtown St. Petersburg. Entertaining and retro!
At the end of the day, I got to take some of my very favorite pictures of one of my very favorite couples. It was all so picture perfect!
